87SDL great heat until hits highway.

on the older 123/126 I'd think torn monovalve, but I don't know about the heater control in the 2nd gen 126.
opinions?

10 minute job. Read the directions (I know it hurts but there is an orientation to assembly). And have a magnet on a stick when you are working with the screws. Little buggers like to run and hide down in the body!

the tear

the tear of the diaphram might actually be just a "nick"
also, can be on the inside along the shaft.

I've seen both of the above along with the more obvious big tear.
