RPM stop working/struggule to accelerate - PeachParts Mercedes-Benz Forum

92 300SD W140 603. I notice one morning rought starting, got litle better as it warm up, notice as I am driving the RPM gage was not working, then getting on the freeway really struggle to accelerate and pick up speed. check all connections every thing is looks ok. Any suggestions what to check, where the RPM connection will located it. Thank you

Check the OVP relay (not sure if the 92's still have them or not) But in my 88 300SDL the OVP relay caused no RPM

Looking for the OVP relay location on the W140, reading through the forums, I find out from Sixto that W140 bodies do not have a OVP they have a base module located on the pasenger side front of winshield, plastic cover four hex screws, 3 fuses 10 amps each. replace the bad one and car came to live again. I'm so happy for this site. If anyone need a pic please let me know.
