Stickers for our forum......

Would anyone be interested in having stickers for our diesel forum printed up? I have one for my MG Club of America so I figured why not for this place. It'd be nice to have something to put in the rear quarter windows. If there are a hundred of us I can get them printed up for a dollar a piece. Just a passing thought. If there are enough interested parties, I'm willing to handle the printing and shipping (to everyone).

Alex

Actually, sorry, I forgot to mention, I can get the stickers for significantly less if we don't want full color. Also, I am willing to pay for half of the total.

Bill,
Unfortunetely, I'm awful at using graphics programs. I could design something really simple or maybe someone else can volunteer to draw something up. If we did something black and white the cost would be much less, like $100 for 250.

If anyone has ideas for slogans, please, throw them out here. The more ideas the better. I'll start us off:

"Get Dirty with Mercedesshop.com"

It would be nice to have a URL in there somewhere, but if we can't for legal reasons, we can deal.

I don't have any stickers on my wagon, but I'd be willing to have one from mercedesshop.com. I'd like to see one specific to the Diesel board, but that also includes the url. We need a cool slogan though, and a good logo design. Here's my two-cents for a slogan: Spark-Free Since 1892! (a reference to the year Dr. Rudolf Diesel patented his engine)

How about something like this : simple , cryptic and easily recognizable by those in the know!! Its' crude now but someone with some expertise and talent could straighten things out!

Bill,
Pardon the ignorance, but what are Bill and Donnie's usernames? When you let me know I'll e-mail them.

Count me in! I don't place stickers on any of my cars, but for the Diesel board I would. I like the idea of the fellowship of the oil burner. Billybob, doesn't "oel" translate into "oil"?

If we had a Mercedesshop.com sticker that would be okay too.

Wayne

Oel is German for Oil, the e acts as a replacement for the 2 little dots over the O.

It's means were running Oil Burners

Dieselhead and all - I'm a graphic designer up here in Canada - I'd be happy to do the artwork for the stickers if we get a consensus for what everyome wants - I could email it to you dieselhead, or direct to your printer, if you want to take care of the printing. All I ask is a free sticker or two.

Great! It'd be nice to have a graphics person design it and they'd definitely get a few free ones. I'm going to start a new thread for sticker ideas, if TXBill could post it as a sticky so that it stays on top, that'd be great. Thanks everyone for the contributions.

Count me in, too I'm finalizing purchase of our first MB (1981 300td, Inca Red Metallic, Buff leather interior) and hopefully will be able to fetch it within the next couple of months.
How about something that looks similar to the oval, black-on-white country-of-origin stickers you see in Europe?
