300D (W123) Engine Compartment Vacuum Line Routing
1983 300 D (123.133; Federal, with 722.3 transmission) - need help in restoring the proper engine compartment vacuum line routing; the routing decal is missing.
The brake booster supply pipe has two ports (in front of and adjacent to the pipe's check valve) that ultimately supply vacuum to the - i) central locking system ii) automatic climate control (ACC) iii) transmission vacuum control valve and iv) EGR valve. The base of one port is embossed ".5"; the base of the other, ".6". I assume that these numbers refer to the size of each port's orifice and as such the ports are not interchangeable. a) Which of these two ports provides vacuum to the transmission's vacuum control valve? b) Are the ACC and central locking systems supplied vacuum via the other orifice? Thanks. |
