it's a vacuum bleeder, not a pressure bleeder... it uses siphon action of the air flowing past the nozzle to suck fluid out of the caliper, and into the can...

I built my own from a garden sprayer; you can find instructions on the internet. works quite well but makes a little mess, cost about $15 to make. use a hose to connect the two low brake light float towers so the fluid doesn't leak out when pressurized.

Just make one from a bug sprayer, clear hose, plumbing fittings and a used MC cap. Buy the smallest sprayer you can find. You don't need a gallon of fluid but that is a common size sprayer. Drill a hole in the cap, insert plumbing and JB Weld.

Make the hose long enough to reach from the MC back to the rear wheels - even when working on a long bed truck. Lots of ideas on line. Total cost ~ $20 + your time collecting parts.

I had one, I was not a big fan. I bought a motive pressure bleeder which is great.

Pros/cons of pressure vs vac? I am just looking to get away from pumping (building more bubbles).

seriously, the bleed screw threads are not air tight, so vacuum bleeding always leaks air.
pressure is the BEST way to bleed, and flush.

Let 'em bleed!

I tried using my Mityvac as a bleeder but as has been said, all I got were air bubbles. Then I built a pressure bleeder from a small garden sprayer. Added a simple pressure gauge and modified the hose to fit a spare brake fluid reservoir cap. Works like a charm at 10 psi to 20 psi.
