NOT at the usual station by O'Hare.

Diesel - $3.25
RUG - $1.98

Other stations in the area were as low as $3.09 for Diesel.

I filled up the 240D (for the first time since July ) last weekend and I paid 2.95. RUG is still in the 2.29-2.39 range in Delaware.

I was in Oregon and was basically told had to have an attendant fill; is this not true?

2.99 at Von's if cash. 25 cents for Federal tax on diesel versus 18 for gasoline. So there is part of the reason diesel is higher cost.

The law applies to gasoline only. You can pump your own diesel, although some attendants don't know that and won't let you. Many stations will have to start the pump for you but will let you dispense the fuel.

Same thing for gas in New Jersey. Never filled up with diesel there so don't know if it's the same there.

A few years ago, I filled my diesel at a pump that also dispensed kerosene, and the kerosene price there was about 50 cents higher. Had to laugh at the pump sticker warning that it was illegal to fuel a road vehicle with kerosene!

Diesel was $3.09 last night. Gas was $1.89. Seems like a large margin to me. The usual spread is about .60 wtf!!!

Edit: diesel @ $3.09
