84' 300TD SLS leak

If my overheating issues weren't enough... Now I have a massive leak in the SLS. I believe it's coming from the one of the metal lines (Look at picture). Can this be the accumulator? Does it spray out liquid when it goes bad? I still think it's coming from the bracket that I circled. Any advice?

I don't know wagons, but it looks as though it is diesel and coming from that cut/torn rubber line.

That's an old fuel line that's not connected. Funola and I ran another fuel line. That one was sucking in air.

I know it's SLS fluid cause when I refill the reservoir, it starts to leak from there.

Not the accumulator. I'm guessing the line wore thru where the bracket goes over it. Best solution may be to splice in a piece of new line. Requires special tools/fittings. Number of threads on here about how replacing a whole line is a PIA.

Yeah, I removed the lines from my '84 when I stripped it. Even with everything else off the car, removing the SLS lines is a PITA.

Say if I found the exact place where it's leaking, could there be some kind of sealant I could temporarily use for about a week?

Not likely. Very high pressure system.

X2

Maybe a piece of rubber and strong hose clamp might minimize it.
