1986 190D Slave Cylinder
The clutch stopped working the other day in our car and we decided it was the master and the slave , it was such a chore to replace the master we stopped there and it worked fine for about 5 days. The slave is in a very tight spot ,does anyone know of some tricks to make the job a little easier ,besides removing the transmission any help or direction to look would be appreciated thanks

Open end wrench and alot of 1/8 " turns is the only way ,it would help if you could get a long wratchet type open end wrench ,a short one wont help due to the access needed ,it is a bit$$ but you only have to do it once.Just what til you have to do a starter .

Drop the transmission cross member to allow engine/trans to tilt back a few degrees. Then use socket with long extension from the back.
