'84 190D rear calipers

I need to do the rear brakes on my '84 190D but I need to know which calipers to get.
My local CarQuest says I need to know if I have a 1 1/2" inspection hole or not. One of the online suppliers I've used before asks the same question.
Pelican Parts doesn't ask that but offers me "NuGeon Reman" which doesn't make me all that excited. The "Genuine Mercedes" are only a little more.

Any advice here?

On the subject of pads Pelican Parts lists Akebono which nobody else does and interestingly only for the rears. I've got ceramics on the front, I forget the brand, they're okay but nothing super. I've got Akebonos on my pickup and they're fantastic.

Including Rock Auto in my search gives an amazing variety of parts. I assume 90% of them are junk...

Nothing? Nobody has ever replaced the calipers on the rear of a 201 before?

I have not changed the calipers but I have changed the pads. It is outside and you do not need to inspect anything. The hole is for the cable operated hand brake adjustment. I surfed to a parts website and parts # are listed; 2014200283X(L) 2014200383X (R).

Good luck.

I once pulled some 300d calipers out of a wrecked 88 300d ,I needed calipers for my 85 190d ,turns out they bolted right up.This would be a trial and error on your case ,you could easily pull the caliper off and check the new one to it.

I'm afraid thats what I'm going to have to do. Hate to get my parts guy to order something in only to have it not fit and have to go back.
I've done pads on the front, its super simple, the 201/124 design is superior in that regard to previous versions.
