I'm rebuilding the rear brakes on my '89 190D - the dual piston type.

I can't seem to get the dust gaiter over the housing (one end of the gaiter goes on the piston, no problem, the other on the housing). It has an internal metal ring.

Any tips or home-made tools? I tore 3 of the gaiters last night using a screwdriver as a pry device.
