84SD parts car seat removal

I'm trying to take the passenger front seat out of the 84SD parts car. The seat is forward and down. Most of the dash switches & window are out. I installed the seat fuse and put known good relays in but the seat won't move back.

I don't want to do a lot of trouble shooting, only move the seat back and get to the front bolts. I also don't want to hack the seat up.

Is there an easy place to tap into the harness that bypasses the fuses and switches that will move the seat? I have the battery out of a running car and plenty of wires and alligator clips.

reach under the front of the seat, under the carpet cover spring clipped thing, there is a plug, open it up and you will see the wires that control the motors. play around with them until you find the set that moves the seat back.

I'm sure there is a pinout on here somewhere to identify exactly which wires go where, but it's not hard to figure them out, they are bundles of pairs of wires, positive on one neg on the other, just touch them to the battery, and a motor will move, if it's not the right one, go on to the next pair.

The electrical manual for the gen 1 126 is on Startek. That should help you figure out what is what on that connector.

These motors are reversible so both the hot and ground comes from the switch. If the motor is going in the wrong direction, reverse the polarity when you jump power to the connector.

Ditto what John said.

1&2 is the backrest motor
3&4 entire seat
5&6 rear
7&8 front
