1987 300td SLS Jug Question
Hey Guys,
Wondering if anyone can tell me how the SLS jug is supposed to secure itself at the bottom. I recently replaced the hose that runs to the pump and now it slides around. There is a rubber doughnut of some kind that wants to support it but is loose. Before I glue it down just wanted to see if anyone had the correct part or procedure to secure it. thanks, |
the doughnut is part of a mount that goes through a hole in the stand under the reservoir. if all you have is the doughnut, you are missing the other half of the mount.
the nipple on the bottom of the tank goes into the grommet, and that grommet is mounted in the hole in the stand |
I assume you replaced the hose that goes from the reservoir to the pump? What kind of hose did you use? The hose on 126 is starting to leak through the material and you can see the fluid "sweat" through the hose. I looked everywhere online but unable to find a replacement so I assume I must cut and make a hose then secure with screw clamps or similar? Thanks

NVM, i found another post and found out I can use any type hose since it is a low pressure line. Preferably fuel hose or similar, thanks

I used 123 126 201 124 SLS Hydraulic Suspension Tank Supply Hose Upgrade from ************. The braided hoses start to weep over time.

Thanks vstech for the info. Anyone have a pic or a part number? I assume this is a dealer item as I can't find the part online anywhere.
