The bulbs are not in the buttons. There are two bulbs in the body of the push-button unit (PBU) that illuminate the 5 buttons. Remove the wood trim panel (2 screws just above the radio, then tilt up and unhook the panel) to expose the body of the PBU. Notice two pieces of tape that don't seem to have any use? Peel them off and inside each hole are bulbs. Use a piece of tubing (experiment to find the right size) to remove the bulbs and insert new ones.
