Mercedes 190 2.0D ABS DIY

I'm in a chance of buying dismanteled ABS system from another mercedes 190 (not 2.0D but petrol model) What I0m intereseted in is can I put ABS system from that car in mine. Is there any uncrossable technicalities of is it just plain simple?

You'll find that the front hubs and differential might be different.

Ok. I'm not sure what are front hubs, but what about differential? Is there some connector in ABS that connects to diferential?

The sensor for the rear wheel abs is in the differential.

By hubs he means the things the front wheel bearings are in. They have a trigger wheel in them for the ABS sensor to see. Where are you from? Maybe we know the local term for hub where you are.

You'd have to look at the diff in your car and see if the rear abs sensor hole is there but its just plugged or something. If there is no place to mount the rear sensor yes would need a new diff.

Also the petrol 190 probably has a different rear differential ratio than your 2.0D so getting the rear diff out of the petrol car potentially isn't an option.
