odd W123 SLS suspension problem
1984 300TD
The left side rides maybe 1/2 to 3/4 in. lower than the right. Work already done: new coil springs and shims in rear all new bushings in rear rebuilt the sls valve renewed the fluid (use Royco 756 $43 / gallon from general aviation maintenance facility) spring struts are not leaking new accumulators the thing should be symetrical but its not any experienced feedback is appreciated thanks in advance. if you are just guessing: please say so Last edited by Rocket99; 05-02-2014 at 12:05 PM. |

Maybe a rear lower control arm is collapsing? It does happen, especially if the car is rusty. Rear wheel top will be pointing inward.
Could also be a broken spring, either front or rear. I know you put in new rear springs, but you may need to check them again...

My 300td did that for a while... before the shock on the low side blew its seals completely.
I guessed it was an indicator that a seal was leaking internally.

Check your sway bar links and make sure the rubber is not completely worn out. They are cheap enough and easy enough to change.
