Window regulator help

Are the window regulators in all W124 sedans and wagons compatible? My parts wagon is going to its new home tomorrow and I am debating pulling the regulators for spares and to replace the driver side in my 87 300E. The parts wagon is a 95 if it matters.

What are the six digit chassis designation numbers?

The tiny attachment shows what I got when I punched the front left regulator for a 124.193, I think that's the wagon you mention.

The 95 is a W124.092 and the 87 is a w124.030.

Whether it ends up working or not, what's the harm in taking them out and setting them aside?

No harm at all. In fact I removed them this morning. It was a fairly easy job to get them all out since I had already removed the door cards.

May as well take the window glass, switches, and weatherstripping as well. You never know.
