Question about hood centering

I had a hood hinge break on the 85SD and ended up pulling the hood to replace both springs from those on the parts car. The gap on the right fender is parallel to the fender but too wide.

The FSM mentions "hood centering screws" but the FSM pics are bad and I don't see any adjustment.

How do I move the entire hood ~ 1/8' to the left? An alternative may be to use washers to shift the fender but that would show in the engine compartment seems too inelegant for MBZ.

Two person job, you put the hood in the straight up position and hold it there absolutely firmly, as Chuck Norris picks the car up and shifts it left by 1/8 inch or so then puts it down. Repeat with finer adjustments as necessary until you're happy with gap equality. The secret is that you can't move at all... You're the anchor.. He's the muscle. Teamwork!

All you need is a resurrection pill to bring back Andre the giant (he's only mostly dead). Every one knows Chuck isn't up to the task.

Is it OK fore and aft?
