Part number interchange help needed.

Car in question is a 1983 300TD, the part in question is 1237400935. The question in question is, what is the difference between This part, and 1237401035?

Any hints are greatly appreciated, my DD rear hatch is out, and busted. No return spring for the pawl that actually holds the door closed.

According to the EPC, 1237401035 was used on standard/japan market cars. The first part number was for north american market. Beyond that I can't say.

The first 2 group of number is important. I think they are the interchangable. You decide. Info on how MBZ part number.
