Replaced oil level sensor on 350 SDL

Hi All,

Finally got around to replacing the leaking oil level sensor see photo) - the oil was leaking from the plastic collar that holds the electrical connection ...o ring was fine.

I had ordered the part and didn't realize it was Chinese ...or would have paid more for Euro sourcing ...I try to never buy Chinese ...

Anyway, easy replacement ...gotta drain oil and I needed to.

Drained oil, couple of 10mm bolts on the sensor housing, and the sensor just slips out ...swapped with the good one. Not including the oil change ... About 3 minutes.

Wish i had a self service junk yard close ...I've always enjoyed the thrill of victory finding the right part!

I rebuilt a couple of VW Rabbits in Colorado from junk yards ... Always found it amazing to find a car with a nearly perfect interior, but that was before ebay :-)
