Replacement Oil Pressure relief valve

I am putting my 603960 engine back together. I had it totally apart after overheating. I had new cylinder sleeves put in and the crankshaft polished and put in new main and rod bearings. I am getting ready to reinstall the oil pump and read in the engine manual that the oil pressure relief valve should be replaced if/when the oil pump is removed. I did not have any oil pressure problems prior to the overheating.

My question is how many people who have had their engine apart have gone ahead and replaced the valve while it was apart? Also, the EPC shows a piston and spring. Did you replace all the pieces?

Thanks,
Lee
