I have an 82 300SD. I have been unplugging the A/C compressor for a few years now for winter. I went to plug it back in, and nothing. The fuse gets very hot, but doesn't blow. I ran a hot wire from the bat. to the compressor and it will lock-up but no cold air. It used to click when I rolled the temp wheel to the blue but no more. It was all just replaced 2 years ago. Compressor, and controller. Any Ideas? My goal would be to just install a rocker switch to operate the A/C but am unsure how to by-pass the controller. Thank-you for your assistance.
