You buy complete replacement upper control arms, they don't facilitate just pressing out the ball joints.
I suggest moog replacements

The UCA will have the bushings in place and the ball joint too. Some come with the nuts for the ball joints.

You just need the sway bar bushings.

The epc is down again.

But this one is working:
Mercedes-Benz Teilekatalog (Ersatzteile online) / 123.153 - 300 CD TURBODIESEL USA

There are lower bushings made for fleet vehicles, may be the same as the 126 parts listed.

Doing the wheel bearings while you're in there? What about the springs?

Don't forget the rubber spring pads on top of the suspension spring.

Steering: Idler arm bushings?

upper controll arms

Can you replace the upper controll arms without compressing the spring with the spring tool?

Do the other bolts and washers on the stabilizer bar rust bad?
I have a bad upper that needs to be replaced.
Anybody know?

don't forget torsion bar bushings

one under battery tray. one under brake booster

I've been putting this off since it requires removal of brake master and booster, I believe

I've attached a helpful DIY link for the W123's Suspension - hopefully these will be helpful to you during the process and in the future. Best of luck!

The front LCA bushings are no longer available from MB. The only option Pelican has is Febi Bilstein ones. I tried to order them from the dealer and from Pelican, I've seen times where the dealer said they were NLA but somehow pelican could get the stuff from Germany. The front end of my sedan is torn apart in the garage undergoing this job right now.

I unbolted the LCA pivot without removing the LCA. I compressed the spring w/ 2 cheap HF side compression bolts, plus a backup chain for safety. If you don't have a spring compressor, you might get there by jacking under the lower ball joint, then securing it w/ a chain to hold the compression. This will let you unbolt and swing the LCA bushing out enough to work on it. But, LCA will still be attached to the car so use the bolt & nut trick to press in the new bushing.
