Rear knuckle interchange 87 190dt
The backing plate on one of my rear hubs has rusted to the point that the hand brake parts don't sit square. Since replacing the plate requires pulling the bearing, and the cost of a new plate is high, I'm thinking that the best solution is to get a complete corner assembly...knuckle, bearing, flange, backing plate from a yard, and take a chance on the used bearing. In the worst case, I'd have to replace the bearing which I would need to do with a new plate anyway. And if I'm lucky, bolt it in and done. But here's the question:
Many Mercedes rear suspension components are interchangeable. What other models would have an assembly that would fit? |
