aluminum steelies and hubcaps

Just picked up some aluminum steelies and seems my hubcaps are sticking out more now. Do I need a different bracket for these or is this normal? It's not bad and it might be in my head ha

Any help is greatly appreciated!!

Thanks guys

The clips are different from the true steel wheels to the light alloy wheels. They were available from the dealer for around $6 a pop last time I checked.

The clips for the aluminum wheel has a Teflon plastic pad to keep the clip from gouging the metal.

Thanks guy

Am I safe to keep my hubcaps on with the steel clips until I can get the other clips? I don't want a movie style hubcap going flying moment

Madmax is suppose to not care about such things, I use to find hubcaps at the yard all the time, their getting rarier to find these days, espicially in good shape.Aluminium steelies are even rarier ,Youll have to spot a 240d and hope it has them on all four corners.

i put some woven cloth tape on the steel clips so they wouldn't mar the aluminum.

Here is the dealer wholesale price.

http://www.partswebsite.com/benzpartswholesale/oemparts/mercedes-benz-137/1234000027-1234000027--1234000027-1234000027-.html

I have the steel clips on mine, and have not had one cap come off.
I want some of these plastic clips, just ordering them seems to fall through the cracks.
