W210 Headlight Switch question
My 1996 E300D (W210, OM606NA) has a headlight switch with part number 210-545-03-04. EPC shows that number having been superseded by -09-04 and that by 16-04. A note on the -03-04 reads "[414] The old part must no longer be installed." There is no explanation as to why.
Anyone know what might have changed? The existing switch in my car works perfectly. I just got a spare from a 1997 E320 at Windsor (California) Pick-n-Pull; it is an -09-04 and appears to be identical to the -03-04. EPC also lists several other part numbers for various series of 210s with no information (of course) on what might be the differences. Jeremy
