Need help diagnosing oil leak w201 190d

Hello everyone. I posted this in general tech but decided there might be some better info here. I have a pretty bad oil on my 1986 190d 2.5
its leaking oil from the drivers side. I want to sell the car so purchase something bigger, and I would hate to have to sell it with this oil leak not being resolved. I have already replaced crank seal, and the vacuum pump gasket. It doesn't leak as bad as it used to. Before it would spray all over the front of the engine from the fan shroud. Now it just sprays to the left of the engine bay and down on the oil pan. I know its engine oil, because it black. I can't figure out what else it could be. Some one suggested it could be the oil level sensor. Ill check it but it looks as if its more towards the front and higher than that. Also the timing chain cover was mentions as a common culprit. How much is required in fixing that.
Let me know if you have a theory or have had a similar issue
thanks
Tim

First what you should do is to use engine degreaser to clean up all oil residue, completely, with water and compressed air.

Then drive and note the location of the new leak.

X2. My worst leak after the obvious like valve cover was the injection pump gaskets. But if you clean it up carefully you'll soon see the source

How are the oil cooler hoses? Could it be a failing seal between the IP and block?

A power steering front shaft leak gets flung all over the place by the pulley, and some more from what falls on the AC compressor pulley.

I doubt its the oil level seal as that would leak most while the engine was at rest. As mentioned was the engine down really really good with purple cleaner and how the revs at 3K for a while and see where it's leaking.

Things that leak on that side would be-

A failed front crank seal
The belt tensioner rocker center bolt is loose or egg shaped
A timing pin walked out (unlikely)
Injection pump seal
