1984 190d transmisson problem
i just enquired a 1984 190d w/ automatic transmisson which i road tested in jan 2002 everything worked fine in up shift, the problem i have is 1st, ok 2nd gear alright the problem is 3rd gear none just like put in neutral no gear what could be the problem with trans, 4 months just sitting now this ? thank you for any help

SOMEONE HELP THE MAN OUT!
I honestly know very little about transmission maintenance... The first thing I would personally check is the fluid level. But you definately have come to the right place for help!
