1984 300SD #5 glow hole.

I can't get the reamer in there to clean it out. Please don't tell me the oil filter housing has to come off for me to finish this job.

Do not have to take the filter housing off but ....

Removing the hard fuel line set makes glow plug work a lot easier.

It says Hazet 4789-3. It is now obvious to me that it's most probably I ordered the wrong tool for this engine. It's the first thing I've ever ordered form PP that didn't work.

With their warehouse being on the other side of the country it will take two weeks or several dollars to get this settled between us.

With the two year old scars of changing glow plugs still lingering I knew this was the right time for the ream job. The lines are off and I don't intend to put them back on until this job is over.

Removing the lines makes access to that area really simple.

Actually, I ordered the part using my 84SD as the reference car and clicked the add to cart button to put it on the order. My mistake was not checking the order form to ensure that the parts numbers and price of the tool was exact.

Anyone want to buy the Hazet 4798-3 German made reamer?
