I picked up a used 9/32 inch reamer, to use on my 82 300D-T (OM 617.952 engine) at a local tool shop, for about $4.00. Haven't tried it out yet, though.

I don't think you have to spend a whole lot of money, unless you want to. There have been threads here which show how to do it with a drill bit.
