sls sagging overnight and not returning to height.

I have noticed that my rear end is sagging a little bit. Nothing non driveable but it should be a little higher. I put new fluid, low pressure hose, and and filter in this weekend. I also put the car up on rams and adjusted the leveling valve. With the car on if i move the lever it goes up and down nicely but for some reason it does not seem to want to adjust back to the normal riding height when i turn the car on and drive around for a bit. Maybe there is not enough weight in the back for it to readjust... but it seems lower than the height that i adjusted it at.

No fluid is visibly leaking anywhere... i guess the self leveling valve could be leaking internally? not sure how to test/tell for that.

the weirdest part is that it seems about 1/2 inch lower overnight and when i start the car in the morning.. it stays that height.

Make sure the swaybar endlinks and swaybar bushings are in good shape and not loose, any play in those will cause the SLS not to level properly. On my car, a worn out swaybar bushing caused almost an inch difference in level depending if I'd just loaded the car up or unloaded it.
There's so little movement at the level valve, it doesn't take much play in everything else to compound the issue.

The self leveling valve can leak internally with no obvious signs. The rear shocks themselves seldom, if ever, fail. A rebuild kit for the valve is available from the MBZ Classic Center. As stated before, worn sway bar links could be the cause and they are cheap.
