2005 E320 CDI Rubber Fuel Hoses
Does anyone know if the rubber fuel hoses on the OM648 cdi engines are available in bulk? I searched the forum but didn't come up with any find. Dealer wants about $30 each for the four rubber hoses.

5/16" ID hose. I ordered 10' of SAE30R9 for about $40. The fuel pump puts out about 65psi, so you need the R9 rating. Rated for BD as well. It did six hoses for my CDIs.

Thanks for the information, Mark. I ended up finding some online places selling the preformed hoses for about half of what dealer wants and ordered them for about $65 total for the four hoses. I purchased them from factorymoparparts.com and here are the prices for the individual hoses in case somebody else is looking to replace these soon:
648-070-12-81 $15.60 648-070-10-81 $14.30 648-070-11-81 $14.30 648-078-07-81 $9.62 Was 5/16 inch a little tight to put on or just about right? I vaguely remember trying to fitting 5/16 inch (7.94 mm) hose on W201/W124 they required a bit effort to push on. I am thinking the ID of the dealer hoses would be somewhere around 8.5mm or 9mm. SAE30R9 is common "fuel injector" hose for gasoline cars, which run ~60 psig so "should work". R7 is the older "carburetor" hose (~30 psig) which should be avoided today even in old cars since R9 is more resistant to ethanol. For those using bio-diesel of any type (B-20, Diesel HPR), probably better to use Goodyear Barricade hose since rated for bio. You can buy at NAPA, but isn't cheap (~$5/ft I recall).
