The best gift I got yesterday

Boy was I surprised yesterday as the family was opening up gifts I got an unwrapped box that was addressed to me and had no idea what was inside. Low and behold when I opened it up was a very nice letter and radiator badge from M.B. thanking me as a valued customer and my 300,000 kilometer award. I felt like the kid in christmas story that just got his red ryder b.b. gun. I really thought they forgot about me as I applied well over a month ago. I have read on the forum to spray it with some type of sealant to preserve it from pitting it before mounting it. I have owned this car about 8 yrs. now and like H.D. has their model road king motorcycle I consider my 300 SD. the road king of cars also goes great in the snow also with all of its 4,800 lbs. My next goal is 400,000 miles hope I make it not sure what is gonna wear out 1st the car or I.

Congratulations! I think that's a nice thing that Mercedes does. Now if we could get FCA to do a similar deal for us Dodge/Cummins owners! I have 230+K miles on mine and it's hardly broken in. With a couple of mods these beasts will run forever, just like your old Mercedes Diesel.

Those grill badges are cool! That sd though only will weigh about 37 or 3800. the 4800 must be your gross weight (car including safe load).

Cheers!

I got a subscription to Octane magazine.
