Rain is leaking down the driver's side A pillar of my 300SD

When I hit the brakes water either slides down the A pillar onto the dash or a couple of drops fall onto my left leg. I'm guessing that a back up of water at the drains is occurring in the rear and the drains need to be cleaned. What's the best way to accomplish this job?

You will be learning about the sun roof. Harbor Freight sells a small drain snake that clears the drains.

Additionally, I think stuff in the water gutters allows water to accumulate and overflow the gutters when you hit the brakes.

The sun roof is easy to remove once you understand how. The drains are in the corners. It is not necessary to remove the roof but it makes understanding easier.

A rifle cleaning kit is good for cleaning the rail slides to keep the roof closing under its own power without help.

Yeah... Do *NOT* use a coat hanger or cut off wire... you will rip the drain boots especially on the sunroof drains. Use a small diameter snake! 5'-6' will do it.

Stop rust & leaks... Keep all drains cleaned out... do it twice a year.

You should be able to open the sunroof and with bottle of water pour water (slowly) into the sides of the sunroof and it should come out on at the front of the front doors and from just behind the side rear windows.

Thanks for the PDF. Hopefully the rain lets up for a little while tomorrow and I can take a closer look.

Dont push any thing rigid down the drain holes it will dislodge the small bore drain hose .Then i dont know how you will get inside to re fit it. Strimer wire is suple and just right to pop down the drain.
