Any warning/advise/tricks on aligning a LS front door on a w126?
I removed the old door by loosing all the wiring and vacuum from inside, strapping it loosely to an overhead structure with a rope for lateral stability, setting a jackstand beneath it with a few shims to hold it up, removed the bolts, slid it away from the body a little and fished all the wiring and vac line out. I bought and installed a new accordion to protect those wires and had a really good piece of loom to replace the one that houses the seat switch wiring.
Reverse to install. It does seem there's much room on the hinge holes to do much adjusting and the door is out of spec on the strike end. It's angled down a bit front to rear. It appear the hinge when closed allows for only two dimensional adjustments. Any advise?

I'm good.
The body side of the hinge adjusts the front of the door to make it flush with the fender. The door side of the hinge raises and lowers the strike side of the door.
