Althought I think these posts are a riot.......we have totally overwhelmed this post about a west coast meet with Jersey discussion. This is another characteristic of those from NJ.

I vote that we give the NJ stuff a rest and let the west coast guys have their post back.

I was actually hoping the Texas meet would have been earlier in the year; I've been talking to a member on here about buying his car in the DFW area, but that had better be sooner than November...

As a resident of Portland, Oregon, i'd be *ALL FOR* a Oregon/Washington get together... I can proudly say that ALOT of MB diesels are here in the NW...LOTS!

Southern to central Oregon sounds nice to me...I'll admit that I've never been up that way, so I don't know the area any.

Let's just hope I have my Benz by whenever this winds up happening...at 14 to 15 mpg, I could drive my F-250 up there but don't particularly want to...

This is my suggestion, and IMHO is likely the most fair.

First, figure out who all's interested. Second, figure out everyone whos' interested's location (please pardon the bad English there

). Then figure out an approximate halfway point (probably best to take the person furthest north, furthest south, furthest east, and if it's an issue, furthest west; and triangulate a center point from that; or, if most of the people interested are in one specific area, do the meet around there) and do it as close to there as possible.

Or another thought would be a separate Washington/Oregon and California meets, but I think it's be more fun to get it all together if possible. I'd be willing to go anywhere in California, and probably about halfway up Oregon...I think any further north would be too far to be feasible for me, though...what with other time committments (school, for example) and whatnot...
