Peachparts Wiki article shows reusing eccentric bolts on W123, questions....
The following peachparts wiki article shows reusing existing eccentric bolts on a W123. In prior posts, some members have talked about using a sawzall to cut through the old eccentric bolts and reinstalling new bolts. I'm trying to figure out whether to order new eccentric bolts or not for an upcoming front end suspension rebuild on a 1984 300DT. Your thoughts or ideas are appreciated!

You should buy them.
I got my passenger side out no problem but the driver side wouldn't budge and so it had to be cut. Better to have spares ready to go. |

They're not hard to get at, and it shouldn't take long to loosen the nut a few turns and tap with a hammer see if it will budge in the bushing. It'll probably depend on how much road salt the car has seen.

Thank you for the replies, I'll go ahead and order two eccentric bolts so when I begin the front end suspension project I'll be prepared. I'm also thinking new shocks at this point in the car's life.
