Any chance of finding another one of these clips?

No excuse for breaking this.

If the rest of the piece is good, check a yard. Is that vacuum pod? PeachParts may be able to get it or the Classic Center.

Yes, it's the pod just above the vac manifold located on the RS of the climate control. If there's one a man needs to get right while the dash is out this is it. I don't think I would want to trust a 30+ year old piece of plastic in a location so difficult to access.

I checked the pod and it bleeds down so it has to go. I'll probably evaluate the rest of the pods and order some diaphragms next week. I might try the Benz dealer here in G'ville for that plastic fitting. They may be high but they don't charge a shipping fee.

Join MBCA and get 10% off at the dealer for parts, if you buy a lot of dealer parts it pays for itself.

When you call the dealer, be sure to tell him the year and model of the vehicle, which you didn't tell us.

I thought everyone could read my mind. That item is common on the early w126s. Specifically, it's off of my 1985 380SE but the configuration is identical to other w126s I've replaced those center vac pods on.
