I recently read somewhere that white cars with light colored interiors are around 20 - 30 degrees cooler inside than black cars. Something about white reflecting heat better than black.......I dunno, I'm no expert....

The same thing applies with dark vs. light colored interiors. Window tinting and a reflective sunshade for the windshield helps a LOT.

Generally, a white car is much easier to see by other motorist at night than a dark colored car.
