Glow plugs of the E 320s Diesel heat up extremely fast.
My question: do they use RF (radio frequency) as heat source or some other method? I would like to know about that. Thanks.

No just a very efficient element. It’s rated at a low dc voltage (approximately 5-7 V dc) and the controller uses pulse width modulation (PWM) to heat up the element quickly without melting it. By altering the on-off ratio it is possible to vary the energy disspated in the heater.
