Om602 idle control questions

Hey everyone! Im in the process of prepping an om602.962 from a 93 190d that i purchased recently from ROLLGUY (thanks rich!) to put into my mercedes t1 van, and am trying to troubleshoot whether to ditch all electronics like a lot of people seem to try to achieve here or keep some of the original electronic system.
I have decided to forgoe the vaccuum actuated wastegate and move to a pressure actuated controller to ditch the egr and mixer on the intake as many have suggested on this forum. My biggest question i have run into is the idle control issue onthis engine. While you can remove the electronic idle control and bump up the base idle to compensate, am i going to want the ecu, elr, klima, ovp etc IF i plan on using the AC regularly in the car? Or is the rpm drop on the engine negligible when the ac kicks in that you dont really need the electronic idle control? I have found info on people losing the electronics but with the intention of not using the ac function and being able to ditch the ecu altogether but has anyone had experience running this engine without electronics and using the ac without significant engine performance issues? It would be great to know so i can figure out if i need to make a idle control harness and set up the ecu for the engine or if its ok to run without electronics while utilizing the AC compressor.
Any info would be greatly appreciated
Thanks!
