https://www.copart.com/lot/45945387 ( And see attached screen shot ) And I'm betting it comes through with a clean car fax / auto check or other used car lot extortion scheme run by a car history service. Other than a mileage history, those services are useless. Nothing trumps having a skilled mechanic go over a car. Nothing comes up on this one. |

It never ends, granted they may have unknowingly bought the car. Also, be sure to run the lot owners name through your states public access Judaical system and see if they have been charged with crimes.

With the damage showing, the air bags would have never deployed. This car was doctored for the copart auction and who knows if it was properly repaired. The car went about 2,000 miles between Nov 17 and Oct 18. Either it took a long time to repair or has issues and the previous owner dumped it. |

the first car seems to have vanished. I found it for sale on side street on the way home. No online presence, not facebook or craigslist. Just the add in the window. I called the number listed, no answer, let a voicemail. Had a weird area code for the area, but i took a bunch of pics including the vin. Had a dealer buddy run the carfax and info came back for that area. Had a missed call from the number and no voicemail. Called back two more times, no answer. Called back again today at lunch and it said the number disconnected. Guessing someone testing the waters using a google voice type phone number? It was weird, but i vaguely remember seeing the car for sale in the same area earlier in the summer.

VMIs can only be done at the dealer. You need to know a service advisor to make this happen.

you guys are funny. Always so negative. Oh well i figured i try here. Thought someone on this forum ran them before. Dont need to be an advisor you can be a dealer tech or sales. Getting them through the mercedes facebook group is easy.

I'm realistic having 4+ decades in and around the car business. A VMI is a proprietary document that is not supposed to be viewed by anyone outside of the dealership. This isn't being negative, this is the truth. Now, a Datacard is freely available as it is an option / build list. |
