Need flow diagram for heater of 83 617 turbo
This is for my 39 Studebaker with mb diesel. The heater won't make heat.

Tom, did you install the stock coolant booster pump also? That pump was installed by MB to aid in coolant flow at slow engine speeds. I was told that if the pump is not working it can impede the flow of coolant to the heater. As a quick winter fix for a similar problem I simply bypassed the pump and got plenty of heat.

So I looked at the car yesterday with John. It appears to have a booster pump which must have come with the vintage air unit. It also looks to have a vacuum hose involved. John thought perhaps that was the source of the problem since a diesel lacks vacuum. There is a vacant nipple on the vac system for the brakes so that might need to be connected.
