'89 190D Any thoughts?

Wondered if there were any opinions out there about the 190D?
I have an opportunity to possibly purchase an '89 190D, 160K miles and two (2) complete parts cars for around $2500. The parts cars are an '84 and '85. The '84 has a diesel motor and auto trans with 90K. Not sure about the '85...
The '89 is roadworthy, very little rust, and a few mechanical issues (blower motor, windshield wiper arm mechanism, vacuum issue with the drivers door (so says the owner).
