Looking for a part# to order hopefully NLA from dealer.
These are the slotted collars.
I don't think these were ever available aftermarket.
I was hoping to order a couple to replace ones I lost off a head I was going to prepare to use or sell

Not having the service manual makes this a dead end on the Internet search.

I sourced some over a year ago from Husker Mercedes but wow spendy. At the time i took parts off a no. 14 head and installed on a no. 17 head. I did save the old ones but they are pretty banged up as they don't like to turn out easily. I needed to cut one out as it just got stuck and no amount of twisting would help. PM me if you want me to look for old reciepts, the ollder collars or the inclined prechambers and the never style collars.

The Laso company (note bought some from Laso) makes aftermarket pre-chamber retaining rings with a slot for the 617.952 and earlier engines but I don't know if they are the same size as yours. The Injectors screw into the retainer ring.

I thought that Pelican had someone that would look up and source out parts.

Do a google image search for 6010170103 or 6010170203. Hopefully one of those is the part you need. I just used an online EPC which is available here, in case neither of those is the part you want.

And odd thing, I put another item in online to order from dealer, a 603 valve cover gasket which is NLA. Lots of aftermarket ones avail tho.

I don't want to let this head go missing a couple collars. PO had trouble getting two of them off so were discarded.

I just got a 603 valve cover gasket from the dealer last week, I wonder if it was the last one.
