'07 E320 Bluetec vibration and noise (motor mounts?)

About a month ago I replaced the motor mounts on my brothers '07 E320 (OM642) because of noise and vibration. Both the vibration and noise are back, and the noise is even worse than before. It sounds sorta like an exhaust leak, but I am sure nothing in the exhaust system leaks. I think they were Lemforder mounts that I installed, although I could be mistaken. Around that time I replaced the mounts on two other cars with this engine ('09 R320, a different '07 E320). I did not order any of the parts for either car. I am not sure what to do. Is there a longer lasting or high performance engine mount available for these cars? Regardless, I will have to get the mounts replaced in this car under warranty. It could actually be something else causing the noise and vibration, but it sounds exactly the same as it did a month ago before I changed the mounts. Anyone have any ideas?

Catalytic converter going out possibly? They tend to rattle after the honey comb falls apart. I would get under the car and see if there’s any parts that are touching or almost touching that could be a culprit. I don’t think it’s the mounts unless you got a defective one that already collapsed.
