The essense of strategy is choosing what not to do

Diesel, for example.

Where are they going to get enough lithium, copper, and cobalt to go 100% electric by 2039?

Probably bolivia for Lithium. Whether bolivians nationalize the industry so it benefits the bolivian people or liberalize it so the sale benefits a few, I think a stable solution is what matters more to industry. Reelection of MAS candidates after the coup on Evo Morales points to the first.

As soon as the US pulled the plug on incandescent light bulbs for living & working spaces, the market conversion to LED's was really fast and prices dropped really fast too. A couple 20W fluourescent tubes cost about as much as a brighter LED light and fixture that won't flicker, dim, shatter or be hard to light off in the cold and uses like 5 or 10 W.

Ola Källenius, Chairman of the Board of Management of Daimler AG and Mercedes-Benz AG: "Our product complexity is excessive" Ya think? lol. They had to bring in a Swede to admit what the Germans have been in denial of since the W140.

Also, took them long enough to see the electric writing on the wall...

I believe this needs to be moved to "off topic" discussion.

Too much to read. Is there a Cliff Notes version? I have heard that the new leader plans to take MB upwards to a more premium customer base. But have no time to ferret that information out of the URL above.
