Help to find old post comparing types of hose clamps

Guys - quite a while ago I read a thread or post which explained the difference in geared clamps, constant pressure clamps, etc and it was very informative and very well composed. It listed the merits (as I remember) of different types of clamps.

Have been looking for it again but unable to find.

Does anyone know where to locate that information?

Thx.

Was it one that referenced a specific site or was it one of our threads where people gave input?

D911 - this was in response to your answer to AcIdBurn's thread so it might not be really important; you seem to have put him on the right track:

it was an answer on a thread here in Peachparts.com (as I remember). The thread might have been about oil leaks or something like that but someone posted quite a long and informative paragraph explaining the differences between types of clamps and why they were used.

I was impressed back then - might have been a couple of years ago, maybe more - and wanted to take another look. I had always thought the geared clamps were best for everything but changed my view after reading his input.

For example you should use constant pressure clamps on the plastic neck of the radiator to keep from busting it when you overtighten a geared clamp. Interesting info like that.

Thx for finding it.

I find that searching from google with "PeachParts" in the search usually works better, especially if you can recall the poster's name or a unique term used.
