Yesterday I fully flushed my 1999 E300 OM606 and was hoping to replace my thermostat in the process with 6022000015 thermostat and 6032030474 thermostat housing after filling with fluid housing began leaking profusely. Is there something I need to know about installing the O-ring seal beforehand? I even took it apart and used a different O-ring after and still same issue. Thanks

I believe the thermostat only goes in one way. I recall having to rotate the thermostat in the housing until it drops into place. Then it will not leak. Remember that there is a bleed bolt just behind the radiator hose, when you fill it up with coolant.

If you have any trouble bleeding it to get heat from heater then go to duo valve and loosen the top hose on it , put the clip out the way and without taking hose off valve just poke a very thin screwdriver under hose and gently lift it to let air out.
You can take hose off but it’s hard to get back on due to the limited space and coolant will also be pouring from it |

I have a OM 603 W124 300D Non Turbo. There is leak of diesel from the top of the fuel pressure line in the pump side. I have replaced all the copper O rings in the fuel pump. But there is leak from the top of the 5th line. Should I have to replace the line? Can you help me with the part number of the fuel line you had replaced?

I feel your pain. I had a similar issue when I changed my thermostat. It did not leak profusely but dripped a fair amount. I had the o-ring in backwards, so check that. I dont know how to tell which way is right, but no leaks after switching it.
