Where is a good thread or tech article on the OM627 throttle linkage ?

What is the best way to adjust these to work correctly. Mine has tons of play. Yet, I don't date do anything to it. It's like defusing a bomb. Or talking to my wife.

OM627 or OM617?

If it's the 617 I'll take a look through my service manual and see if I can find anything about the adjustment.
