Euro OM602(na) heater valve

After a (very) long time away from the forum, I finally have another MB diesel, a nice ‘90 300D 2.5 with a five speed manual.

Downside, both side vents blow hot air while the center vents are nice and cool. So my first guess is maybe the heater valve (mono valve by some.)

Does anyone know if the Euro om602 (non turbo) with the euro version of air conditioning uses the same heater valve as stateside om602’s?

The heater water control will be either a mono- or a duo-valve, specific to the chassis (W124?), rather than to the engine. If a mono-valve, it will likely be the same as US spec.

Yeah, it’s a W124. I’ll take a pic of the valve later today.

I took two photos for you guys. Help me out. Which replacement do I need?

Looks like the image links don’t work. Gonna need help with that too.

Start a post, hit go advanced, scroll down look for manage attachments. A little window will pop up, hit browse, find your file, hit upload then close when it's up there. Warning, the system is REALLY picky about photo size etc.
Have fun, welcome to 2005.

That’s what I did. I’ve been on the internet since the mid ninties, so I’m familiar with this method. Trying to attach files though it always says “upload failed” and I don’t know how to coerce the uploaded into accepting them. It’s just a standard cell phone picture.

I also tried using a free image hosting service and using the link to it from the tools, that failed too apparently.

How about this. Can someone load photos of the correct heater value for a non turbo OM602 heater valve for the European ac control in a w124?

The heater valve on mine almost looks like the one for a w202.

Those who have accumulated some experience with the internet may have come across "Google Search".
Try entering this in the search line:
"mercedes w202 heater valve"

See anything familiar?

Wow, rude and lacking correct information.

I am looking for the w124 250D (euro) heater valve. Obviously not a w202. Please work on your reading comprehension.

As such, I am inundated with results for US spec w124’s, not my goal. This is why I’m asking others on this forum who have knowledge of euro models.

Those who have accumulated some experience with BASIC NUMBERS will not that I was here on PeachParts well before you. Please respect your elders.
